D.R. White's Past Events!

*****
On Saturday & Sunday
November 19th & 20th 2005
D.R. White attended the
Mobile, Alabama
Renaissance Faire
*****
As you can see from this picture and the one above, D.R. White didn't go alone. Aside from his parents, who always attend his events, Mr. White was accompanied by his chief editor from CANADA.
*****
As with the Florence event, Mr. White brought his tent along and sold swords and other items as well as his books.
*****
A nice view of his books and a nice glimpse of some of his swords.
*****
Here we see D.R. along with his parents and his Canadian editor who just happened to be the inspiration for the charachter of Leila, The Giggling Dancing Girl, in his famed book series, The Renfaire Tales
*****
Leila was more than a little excited to be attending one of Mr. White's Book Signings and in turn, Tobias (as he calls the characther based on himself in his books) was more than happy to have her there. Here you can see them posing with the official King and Queen
*****
Here we see the King and Queen standing by theirselves.
(notice their knights standing guard)
*****
Mr. White's parents were also glad to have the Canadian girl with them that weekend. It gave them a chance to leave the tent when they wanted to and explore the faire.
*****
"Leila's" presence also came in handy when it came to photographing D.R. signing his books. Here we see him signing a copy for a customer.
*****
Here we see D.R. signing
for two more customers.
*****
Here we see a fan admiring the cover art for Mr. White's novels.
*****
In this picture, we find Mr. White on Saturday trying to remove the infamous Sword In The Stone!
*****
On that same day, we found the Canadian girl in a reproduction of the costume worn by her fictious counterpart.
*****
It was a surprise to all who was there that she was never asked by her fellow dancers to join them on stage.
*****
When he wasn't working his tent or signing books, Mr. White could be found at other areas of the faire, enjoying many treats. Such as the "Rat on a Stick" you see in this
picture.
*****
And as with Florence, D.R. found that there were many colorful people around for him to photograph.
*****
Such as
Gandalf the White
*****
A pirate with a parrot!
*****
A man even taller than
Darmond!
*****
A petting zoo with a pony that looked just like one D.R. had as a small child.
*****
And like in Florence, he also found an enchanted statue. Watch closely, you might see it move!
*****
And lastly, that Sunday night,
D.R. White meet with a Renaissance
enthusiast who seemed very excited
to be introduced to Mr. White's first
book series, The Renfaire Tales!
*****
Those were just a few of the sights
seen by D.R. White. All in all,
a good time was held by all at the
Mobile, Alabama
 Renaissance Faire!
